Okinawa is a tropical/sub-tropical Island the summers are high 90's - 100's the winter rarely ever gets below 60 degrees Fahrenheit. Which is why I hate cold weather.
I am from the small town of Higashi in the Kunigami district
Okinawa has so little crime that most people leave their doors wide open all day long. Okinawa is renowned for having some of the best scuba diving in the world, beautiful coral and the underwater ruins of Yonaguni.
Karate was also invented in Okinawa, you'll find quite a few dojos there.
As well as lots of great food, my favorite is a small fish called Gurukun and the Red Dragonfruit (which grows wild)
