Hello Everyone:
I'm Athos, one of the Moderators from AA [if you didn't already guess]. If you haven't noticed already, Absoluteanime.com is down as of July 6, 2008. Currently, we Moderators do not know why or how this has happened. I have established contact with the Webmaster, and I just recently sent an e-mail to Theo describing the situation.
Some of you have already asked me if the servers are affected by the fires that are going on here in California. To my current knowledge, no, the servers are not affected by the fires.
I ask you to please bear with us for the moment as we try to figure out what is going on. Please check back, as I will be keeping an update on here to make things easier for me.

Alright, new update.
Here is exactly what the Webmaster has told me:
Okay, nothing to worry about too much. It's not a hacking attempt and not a serious hardware failure. Apparently a circuit blew or something, which took a bunch of webservers offline. We were told to piggyback on another one until they could get it fixed, but then that one blew as well, so there's electricians down there now trying to get it all fixed.
So hopefully it will be up soon!

Slash, wait until you hear the whole story...
Well, here is what the Webmaster told me:
I don't have an estimated time. I talked to Theo last night and he said that they were getting electricians out there to repair it. There were a bunch of websites which were all hosted in that same place, so we're all hoping they get it fixed soon.
I do believe the database goes through nightly backups, but I don't think it will be necessary to restore as I'm pretty sure the computers themselves are all fine.
No need to thank me. I'm just doing my job...I think >.>
