You are the most beautiful pain I've ever felt...

The times you made me mad
And I wanted to shout
And the times you made me sad
And I had to cry to get it out

The times when tears just weren't enough
And my talking to you had to cease
The arguing over "stupid stuff"
When it was impossible to keep the peace

When times when all the pet names stopped
And the insults soar
The misunderstandings reached the top
And we didn't know what we were fighting for

You are the most beautilful love I'll ever feel...

You have never been able to hate me
Or stay mad at me for long
Though I've given you reason, especially lately
But it doesn't matter what I do wrong

You love me because of my flaws
Though I've tried to be perfect for you
Even when I brought out my teeth and claws
My disguises you could always see through

And even time could not erase it
And if destiny demand it gone

And sometimes, I can feel it
and I know that someone, somewhere
Is loving me
Oftimes it is but a soft, slow beat
And I know someone loves me
Kindly, friendly, relatingly
But sometimes my heart pounds
So hard that it rings in my ears
And I know someone is loving me
Passionately, purely, truly
And those are the times that I love someone back
Purely, truly, passionately
But regularly, I just love
Both in spoken word and in action
In the tears that I cry
And in other wordly truths
And I hope
That those people's hearts are beating too
For as long as I love them and they me

Thoughts From A Contented Solitude

As I sat beside the window
Watching the rain fall
I felt almost lonely
Yet at the same time
Content in my solitude
And as the lightning struck
And the thunder roared
I watched the rain hit the window
And the cars roll by on the street below
Pelted with the teardrops of the sky
And for a moment I felt lonely
Yet then again
Content in my solitude
The darkened room surrounding me,
Lightened only by the rain-splattered window,
Was empty
Not a soul within its dwellings
With the exceptions of my guardian angels and I
Yet somehow, even with their presence,
I still felt lonely
But make no mistake,
I was content in my solitude
And the downpour continued
And there, across the railroad tracks,
Lied the old church,
Looking as empty as I felt inside
And its cross,
Perched high above its roof,
Received the full onslaught of the rain
And there was I, feeling lonely,
Yet contented in my solitude,
As I sat beside the window
